The Imagi-skate program allows your younger students in Kinder - 2nd grade to participate in a fun and innovative way of learning how to wear safety gear properly, teaches them balance and both basic and advanced skating maneuvers. All this while avoiding the perils of lacing, tying, buckling, left & right skates and adequate balancing skills to skate properly for such youngsters.
The Imagi-skaters will cover 5 skating lessons plus the safety gear and safety issues lessons on the video:
standing/balance
skating forward
stopping
180 degree spins
and backwards skating
Another added benefit to this program is that when the students are ready for the In-line Skating 101 program in 3rd grade not only are they are quick to put on and take off their gear but they proceed further into the lessons. Myself and the teachers that have participated in the Imagiskation program were surprisingly amazed at how well students were skating once they actually put on in-line skates after having Imagiskated a few times in previous years.
The Imagiskating program is $2 and the same scholarships (full or partial) are provided as with the $10 Skating 101 program. The students also keep their Imagiskates and receive a sticker/badge after completing the unit. Each of the three grade levels receives a different badge.
